Australia opened their Rugby League World Cup defence with an impressive 42-8 win against Fiji at Headingley Stadium to cap an excellent opening day of the tournament.

The Kangaroos ran in seven tries, including two for Josh Addo-Carr and further scores for Jeremiah Nanai, James Tedesco, Latrell Mitchell, Angus Crichton and Harry Grant.
