Hireme-Smiler represented the Kiwi Ferns in 32 tests across 18 seasons and also played at four World Cups.

As well as being named in the NRL.com’s Women’s Rugby League Team of the Decade (2010s), Honey was also appointed a member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for her services to the sport.

With an almighty 13 tries, the two-time World Cup winner was the top try scorer at RLWC2017. She also received the Player of the Tournament accolade after captaining her nation to victory in 2013.
